Only 599 months to go...

...until our 50th Wedding Anniversary!

Richard and I have been married 1 month. And my husband is on his way to Gary, Indiana. (only 1.5 more weeks of over the road trucking!)
It really doesn't feel like it has been a month. With the honeymoon and Richard being over the road most of the week, we haven't dealt with married life much. Of course nothing has really changed since we got married. I have yet to change my name. It is still surreal to introduce him as my husband. And I still get giddy when I think of Richard as my husband. I still can't believe I'm married to him. I'm overwhelmed with happiness when I think of us.

I heard Ryan say, "I'm getting married" to someone on the phone about our rehearsal dinner and I got all tingly. I thought, "Good Lord, this is actually happening!" There are so many little things that make it real... It was weird to see you call him your "husband" in that post. Feels like play acting, like playing dress up.

It completely feels like playing dress up. I feel like I'm playing house. And any minute the game is going to end. Richard and I will go back to dating and living in a crappy apartment. So strange...

No, no, no. See, this is how it's going to be: happily ever after. Maybe our tattoo should be of a castle. Just kidding! :)

PS: I realized Ryan and I will hit 100 months of being together this coming November. That's insane. Realization inspired by the title of this post.
